Let us care for each other?

Hello everyone, thanks for checking in with me. I am so grateful that there are people in the world who care. Caring can be shown in words, actions or deeds. When people care about other people it can have a really positive impact.

When my central heating packed in last week it was a real ordeal. My family were freezing and we were told the repair would be close to three thousand pounds. I felt down and helpless. But I went online and there were people that showed me they cared. They gave me words of support and concern and I felt so much better. When I woke in the morning, I had clarity and a plan of action. Those words of comfort made me remember other people that care about me. I have one friend who always has the contact details for someone who can help. She contacted him and he called me with the number of someone who arranged to come the next day at 10. In next to no time the engineer arrived and because he cares about people and doing a good job, he had the spare part in his van,so it wasn’t long before we had heat again. It was the most amazing sensation. He had fixed the heating and charged £128 for the job. My family and I were warm and it was done in days rather than the long wait that was estimated with the original repair guy.

There are so many instances where caring makes all the difference. When I went in for my hospital pre-operation assessment, I was in pain and discomfort and in need of help. My doctor had not completed a request form for my brace and I was told to sit and wait and see if I could speak to one of the doctors. I sat and waited and a doctor smiled at me and I smiled back. He asked if I was alright and I told him my situation and he helped me. I felt so relieved to have been given support to be seen as a human in need of help rather than a bureaucratic inconvenience.

So I suggest to you to remember to care and together our care can make a difference. Once again I just want to say thanks to all those bloggers who share their knowledge and experiences so that I can care for others. To tell me about it  Michelle, who always shares her talent and the photographers who bring so much beauty into my world, the comedians who make me smile and laugh and to the readers and comment writers who make me think and be grateful.

Let me know how you are and I hope that the medical team are people who care and follow all the safety, hygiene and medical procedures so that I return home safely to my family after my knee operations.

To the warmth of kindness and heat in the world. Take care Cally.

  2. Sometimes all we need is care and empathy from others, an assurance that someone is there for us in times of need to know that we are loved and appreciate life even more. We should all indeed care for each other 😊
