If only life was more like Pac-Man

Thanks for checking in with me.

If only life was more like Pac-Man. I have watched my son play Pac-Man countless times. He has a groove, a smooth pattern that makes playing look easy. His highest scores is incredible. If he gets into difficulty or a challenging situation, he remains calm. Why? Because he has learnt if you don’t panic and just believe you can think of a solution, the likelihood of surviving the tricky situation is increased. When you watch him play you will see exactly how he just remains focused and calm (I will include the link so you can see exactly what I mean). If you just give up and just feel overwhelmed by the situation, then you get a selffulfilling prophecy and you are trapped and defeated because of your negative attitude. But if you believe in yourself and stay calm you can find or think of a solution to your predicament.

My son has dedicated several hours to his craft and it shows. He is aware that if you don’t take the first step and give it time and effort, how can you improve? He believes in practice, practice and more practicing. His time and effort show in his performance. He glides through each screen and it is stunning the way it almost looks effortless. You look at the speed and the transitions he makes as he progresses. He collects rewards and you can see his accomplishments accumulating.

When you take in the whole picture and see how he has mastered so many skills to make his progression seem effortless. He demonstrates so much about life.

This small child knows what he wants to achieve but the only thing holding him back is not fear but a lack of time. He would have achieved more but time runs out. He has wasted none of his lives; he makes it to the end of the game with one of the highest scores. His best scores are top 5% on X-Box Live.

How is this small child so accomplished and confident? It seems he just goes for it. He has identified his mission and purpose. He does not allow setbacks or obstacles to defeat or deter him. He has determination and perseverance to keep going. He has noticed the patterns and uses this knowledge to his advantage and if he does make a mistake he accepts it and keeps going.

I say to you to learn what you can from others and have a purpose so you too can achieve your goals and be a winner.

You do not know how much time you have, so do not waste any of your opportunities. Take the firsts step and get started on achieving your goals.

Be happier?

As I type I am listening to my favourite soundtrack. I’m feeling happy. My family is my rock.

I suggest to you to be happy now. Decide what you want and be happy pursuing it. Enjoy the means not just the end. What service can you provide to the world? We need to live to our noble purpose.

Just do it! Do it now! Waiting for tomorrow may mean you never start. Procrastination is the thief of time. Don’t let your precious time be wasted. Fear is your enemy. You learn by living one step at a time. Look fear in the face and discover courage and strength.
Happiness is a byproduct of committing yourself to giving joy and you will get all the joy you need.

“You gain strength, courage and confidence by every experience in which you really stop to look fear in the face. You are able to say to yourself, ‘I have lived through this horror. I can take the next thing that comes along.’ You must do the thing you think you cannot do. “Eleanor Roosevelt

Feed your mind with information. Have a mindset to be motivated, to listen to other successful people who have achieved their goal. Go for it and see it to the end. If you stop working towards your goal, make sure that you start again. Take time to be with motivators who remind you of your goal. Read material that is going to provide you with personal growth. Have the belief and remind yourself daily what your goals are?
Read and listen to growth mindset material daily so you will achieve your success.

Make it a habit to focus on your goal daily.

Be always moving forward in everything you do. The way you move forward is to make a decision and take action. Think about what you want to achieve and take action so you will be closer to achieving your goals. You need to apply it now not later; excuses waste your opportunities for success and ruin the likeliness of a positive outcome. Give yourself the opportunities so you can achieve your goals.

Get a mentor, get someone to assist you in your goal so you have the knowledge and information you need to learn and grow. You have to evolve, so find someone who can help you to reach your goals. Having someone to answer your questions and prompt you. Having someone to keep you focused and on track. A mentor will help you to become very focused to achieving your goals. Having someone who has achieved what you want to achieve and will lead you along your path. Someone you can identify with and give you what you need help with or what is preventing you from reaching your goal. Find someone to give you the personal instruction that you deserve.

You must have confidence, when you enter a room, let your eyes and your body posture convey confidence. All your actions and communications must demonstrate confidence. You must have a confident and positive attitude. You need to make your subconscious aware that you are confident and you will achieve the goals you have.

You must stay focused, have realistic goals and move forward daily. Look ahead and know where you are going. Don’t’ get distracted or lose focus. Make sure your goal is very clear so you know what you are targeting. Identify your aspirations so that you are successful and achieve your goals.

Remember, make a decision and take action. Take daily steps. Eliminate your fears and negative mindset. Have a plan, stay focused and remove negativity. You deserve to achieve your goal. Do your preparation and learn about what you need and take all the necessary steps.

Good luck on your journey to being happier. Take care Cally.

Sunburst in a blue sky

I am harmonious and happy.

Sunburst in a blue sky

Hi everyone, thanks for checking in with me. I am happy and harmonious. Thank you for all of your support, comments, prayers and positive thinking. I am finally on the other side and it really feels good.

I can finally say, waking up isn’t a nightmare of pain.

Getting to be in a good place can be a challenge, but it is a worthwhile destination. Now when I wake up, I appreciate the start of a new day. I am just so grateful to be feeling good and I couldn’t of got here without you!

I just want to share the things that really helped me and so they can help you or someone else you know.

Knowing that I was loved and people really cared about me really helped me know this moment of despair is temporary and this love is infinite and one day I would be smiling again and feeling happy.

Listening to music really lifted me up and joining in and singing along with my favourite tunes was really beneficial. There were days when the lyrics spoke to me and just gave me hope. Some of my favourites were One love, Three little birds, Heaven must be missing an angel, Hustle and My first my last my everything.

Laughing really helped as well, my children reminded me of everything I had ever said that was hilarious and how their cute little faces made me laugh. One of my favourites was: What do you call a dog sitting too close to a fire? A hot dog! I just chuckled as I typed it, so it is still working it’s magic.

Swimming was such a great source of relief, feeling weightless in the water and just relaxing with my sons was great but it was some time before I was up to swimming. But when I did feel up to it, I loved it so much.

My Tens machine was my first source of relief, it really helped. It really helped with the physical healing of the wounds and the doctors and physiotherapists were really impressed. Oh having physio was really great, it helped push my body in a safe and healthy way.

So there you have it. I am back, relieved and grateful because suffering and misery are awful. Being happy and harmonious is great!

Take care and know I appreciate you so much!

Remember to see beyond today

Hello everyone, thanks for checking in with me. Sometimes you can feel like things aren’t going to get better. But you have to remember to think beyond the moment you are in. Right now I am going through recovery, I am trying to get my body to heal and be strong enough to function. But the obstacles of pain, depondancy, despair and burdens are getting to me.

I know that l have to get through the here and now and get to each tomorrow, until I am at the stage when my body has healed and I am better. Whatever we are going through in life we need to remember that one day in the future it will be the past. Right now this list of things I need to do to get better seems overwhelming, but if I see it as one type of exercise to do and one bit of food to eat and one drink to drink and one day of pain to get through eventually I will achieve my target of being better.

I have to remember each thing does not have to be prefect l just have to do it and keep on doing it and know that l will eventually be better.

So I suggest to you to remember just get started and keep trying as Newton said if you are moving or staying still it is difficult to change to the other. So once we start we can just keep going until we reach our goal or destination.

Ask for help and let others know what you need. Feel as if you have achieved it already. I have been reminding myself how good I usually feel and I told my family how I have been feeling and they have agreed to do their best to help. So let us rememember we can get through today and know that one day we will be feeling good again. We must reinforce the feeling already healed already done.

Let us support each other and work together so we can respond in a positive way and so we are better.

Take care Cally

Yippee, I am alive!

Hello everyone, thanks for checking in with me. I am so glad to be alive. I have always tried to be a grateful person and I want to say thanks to everyone, thanks for caring about me and helping me in so many ways to be here today. I felt so apprehensive about being put to sleep and I was worried about not waking up. The relief and gratitude I felt when I opened my eyes and I knew I had made it. The operation went really well and the only issue was my blood pressure being really low, but apart from that I am doing as well as can be expected.

I have to rest now, but I will be back to reply to your wonderful well wishes.

Thank you for your hopes, positive thinking and prayers.

Take care Cally.

Let us care for each other?

Hello everyone, thanks for checking in with me. I am so grateful that there are people in the world who care. Caring can be shown in words, actions or deeds. When people care about other people it can have a really positive impact.

When my central heating packed in last week it was a real ordeal. My family were freezing and we were told the repair would be close to three thousand pounds. I felt down and helpless. But I went online and there were people that showed me they cared. They gave me words of support and concern and I felt so much better. When I woke in the morning, I had clarity and a plan of action. Those words of comfort made me remember other people that care about me. I have one friend who always has the contact details for someone who can help. She contacted him and he called me with the number of someone who arranged to come the next day at 10. In next to no time the engineer arrived and because he cares about people and doing a good job, he had the spare part in his van,so it wasn’t long before we had heat again. It was the most amazing sensation. He had fixed the heating and charged £128 for the job. My family and I were warm and it was done in days rather than the long wait that was estimated with the original repair guy.

There are so many instances where caring makes all the difference. When I went in for my hospital pre-operation assessment, I was in pain and discomfort and in need of help. My doctor had not completed a request form for my brace and I was told to sit and wait and see if I could speak to one of the doctors. I sat and waited and a doctor smiled at me and I smiled back. He asked if I was alright and I told him my situation and he helped me. I felt so relieved to have been given support to be seen as a human in need of help rather than a bureaucratic inconvenience.

So I suggest to you to remember to care and together our care can make a difference. Once again I just want to say thanks to all those bloggers who share their knowledge and experiences so that I can care for others. To tell me about it  Michelle, who always shares her talent and the photographers who bring so much beauty into my world, the comedians who make me smile and laugh and to the readers and comment writers who make me think and be grateful.

Let me know how you are and I hope that the medical team are people who care and follow all the safety, hygiene and medical procedures so that I return home safely to my family after my knee operations.

To the warmth of kindness and heat in the world. Take care Cally.

Think about it, how precious is time?

Hi everyone, thanks for checking in with me. This year is special because it is a leap year. Waiting four years for a leap year, so much time has passed. Do we truly value how precious time is? I just visited my in-laws and time seemed to past at a different rate. When I look at my children and see how they are growing and developing, I think how time passes so quickly. Why is it, when we are doing something pleasant, we don’t see how the speed of time changes?

Bruce Lee said something that has stayed in my mind: “If you love life, don’t waste time, for time is what life is made up of.”

I suggest to you, that you remember to live your life and use each precious moment in a way that you enjoy. Spend your moments doing the things you say you will do someday. When is someday? Is it today? Tomorrow? A week from now? If ever?

There are so many things l want to do. Thanks to a fellow blogger, Seb, I have a checklist of things that will stimulate my mind and give me the “feel good” feeling.

I want to reflect on my memories knowing I felt good everyday and I kept feeling better. I want to be excited about each new day, because it is an opportunity to do all those things that make me feel alive. I want to experience all there is to feel.

One of my favourite authors Charles Haanel, inspired me to have goals and what type of person you need to be. I want to know that I am whole, perfect, loving, harmonious, powerful, strong and happy. He made me realise that you need to feel good.

I know that l feel good everyday and others are starting to feel good. People often ask me why do l feel so good?  I tell them about the good days and the slightly less good times and that they can feel good as well.

Let us use our time well everyday, so we fulfil our dreams, I know that I am feeling good and those around me are feeling good also.

I shared my idea with my children and they really are adorable and supportive children. We have written our goals and we have described the feeling that we want to achieve and we are holding on to it. My husband kinda likes the idea but he says he doesn’t do back flips. Who does? Don’t allow others to distract you.

So join us in thinking about how to use your time to feel good. Use your time well so that you are not missing a part that would fulfil you. What do you need to do to feel whole and complete? What do you need to do so you can face those challenges, so that you feel strong and powerful? So you can say yes to opportunities and no to time wasting and negative situations? So you can be loving to yourself and those you care for? Why should you use your precious time wisely? So that the result will be that you are happy.

Thomas Edison once remarked: “Time is the only capital any human being has and the only thing he cannot afford to lose.”

Good luck to us all on this wonderful journey of life, let us be the best version of ourselves and fulfil our hopes and dreams.

Take care and let me know how to use that precious time.

Happy Cally.

Feel good?

Hello everyone, thanks for checking in with me. Do you feel good? Well, l am feeling good and l want to keep feeling better.

I have been reflecting and reading and l know that l feel good when l have a purpose. I feel good when l have something l am looking forward to achieving. Feeling good feels great! Just like smiling makes you feel good.

Children are amazing! they make feeling good look easy. My son is a master at feeling good. Mud made from rain gives him a purpose. He makes plans to play and build in that mud and he does it. Children can remind you to get on and do those things that make you feel good. The feeling of happiness l get when my son says, “Come on mummy! Come and play with me.”

Just get started feeling good. Getting started on what you feel is your purpose  and what will help you to feel good.

Get prepared to get started on that small action that will get you on the road to feeling good. It can be different for you, but you know what you need to do, for it to be that first step. Now what needs to be done? It is all about feeling. What makes you feel good? What are those things you want to get done? And what is the next step?

You are in charge, manage what you need to do, manage your distractions. Move from a vague goal to actually what you need to do to get started.

Be the role model for yourself. Be clear on what you want to do to feel good. What are the things you need to do so that you can achieve that feeling of feeling good? What next? Just keep on being driven to achieve, so you feel good and keep feeling better.

Remember the present and the future are just a matter of time. Help the present you and future you to feel good by thinking about your goals and sense of purpose, and implement the actions you need to do to achieve.

When you look back with fond memories, it is because you lived the life that made you feel good. You will be grateful you created a foundation for your children to know mindset and purpose are the key.

S0 l ask you, do you feel good? I hope your future you will be able to say, “yes l do and l keep feeling better.”

Take care, feeling good, Cally.

The power of your smile

Hi everyone, thanks for checking in with me. My year so far is going well and I wanted to share with you something that many of us take for granted and that is the power of a smile.

Smiling is so powerful and it is something that we can all do. You may find your smiling when you think about your day or that special someone, it can happen anywhere or at any moment.

l know smiling can I improve your whole mood. I have this friend and when we are in a meeting and I smile at her she just gets what l am thinking and we reflect each other’s smile and we look around the room and others start smiling too.

Sometimes that smile can transform into a giggle and when you are laughing and smiling it is one of the best feelings in the world. I have found some really brilliant blogs I am following and they just make me smile and laugh as l relate to the experience or picture the situation.

A smile can make you just fall in love with your child over and over again. One of the best feelings is the smile you get when your child sees that mummy and daddy have come to collect them from school, the way your child’s smile radiates around it makes you get butterflies.

A smile can signal forgiveness, a harder faces starts to soften and you know you are about to be forgiven and that loved one receives that smile and it lets them know you are sorry for upsetting them.

A smile can turn into a grin that signals that someone is going to have a very enjoyable evening and that you are so glad that someone loves you dearly.

So if you can start your day with a lovely smile. I highly recommend it! Thanks to my wonderful son who starts each day and night by putting his big cheesy smile right in my face as soon as he wakes up and before he goes to sleep. I love my children dearly and l love that a gesture like a smile can give so much hope and love.

So l suggest to you to remember the power of your smile and l hope you give and receive so many.

Take care and thanks for all those wonderful blogs and people who make us smile.

Thanks for reading smiling Cally
